Personalized design for Chicago-area homes, shaped around your style, your space and your budget.
Every layout and material palette is built around how you live, not a showroom template.
Plumbing and electrical work is coordinated with vetted, credentialed professionals.
Strategic material selection without cutting the details that make a room feel finished.
Original sculptural pieces, made in-house, are designed to sign the finished room.
The M&Z Approach
We unite interior design with trusted construction coordination, so the vision and the build speak the same language. From bathrooms and kitchens to complete outdoor retreats, M&Z creates tailored spaces around the way you live — selecting materials strategically, designing memorable custom moments, and coordinating licensed, insured plumbing and electrical professionals whenever a project calls for it.
Smarter Project Costs.
Beautiful, high-end design doesn’t have to come with excessive renovation costs.
M&Z Design combines thoughtful design, practical construction planning, and smart sourcing to create elevated spaces while keeping the overall project budget in mind.
We source new materials, fixtures and décor through trusted vendors, trade opportunities, outlets and carefully selected marketplace listings — helping clients access quality products at more competitive prices.
What We Create
Every project is developed as one cohesive story — from the first layout sketch to the final light fixture.
Layouts, finishes, lighting, furniture, and styling for every room in the house.
Distinctive baths with thoughtfully selected fixtures, plus porches and patios designed as private retreats.
Seasonal and event styling, custom handmade details, and a connected path to qualified trade professionals.
Clear From The Beginning
Every project — from a single room to a full outdoor retreat — moves through the same four stages.
We learn your space, priorities, taste, and a realistic investment range.
You receive a cohesive visual concept, material direction, and a practical plan.
We help identify beautiful materials — and smart alternatives — at the right price.
Once selections are made, design and qualified trade work move forward as one coordinated project.
